Special Announcement

Imelda May and her husband Darrel Higham are very proud and delighted to announce that they are expecting their first child in August this year.

Imelda says “I’m very happy, healthy and feeling great. I’m just over three months pregnant now and am enjoying every second. Darrel and I are over the moon!”

Imelda is currently writing new material and will continue her touring schedule in April including the Royal Albert Hall on May 4th, culminating in Ireland at the Cork Marquee on June 9th.

   probably like everyone else, life is a little hard about now and I just love having my 2 new Imelda cds to make it all go down a little better. Rock on Imelda and Band! You da thing!!!!!!

   Also, pleeeeease come to Brooklyn – Park Slope Brooklyn that is!!

   Thrilled to hear that you’re expecting in August….and finding the time to write new material! I’ve one niece (2 and a half) and my twin sister is expecting now in the next day-or-so…so I know something (I think) of the joy and expectation a baby can bring to two young parents. Best of luck to you both, and I’ll keep my eyes peeled over the next few months for upcoming album(s)!
